Crazy busy day to day so this will be a post of little words.

 But I had to post this quilt =)  Isn't it fabulous!!!  I loved quilting it. 

I never tire of these colors, just gorgeous!

 I love ruler work, I find it very relaxing.  And this was the perfect quilt for it.

The piecing was spot on to boot!  Always makes a quilter smile to see that =)

Modern Quilt Challenge!

I am so excited about the 2014 Northwest Quilting Expo Challenge from the Pine Needle's West Side Modern Club! 

 Here's the beginnings of my pallet.

 My kicker color - orange! =)  Don't worry, it will make sense...hopefully...eventually!

And the best part is it goes with the idea I was already planning for my next project.

The Challenge -  Make a modern quilt inspired by a Portland Oregon bridge.  We had a fabulous speaker who really got everyone excited about our local bridges.  Who knew bridges could be so fascinating. 

As you can see we have quite a few bridges to choose from.  The Portland Modern Quilt Guild will be joining in on the challenge.  Perfect, since I am in both groups I can make one quilt for both...right?  lol

 The girls have been busy!

Words can not express how exciting it was to see comb this morning.

The windows have been steamed up the past few days so we couldn't see what was happening.  

Hope the queen is healthy and doing her thing =)  We need some babies!!

 Happy, happy, happy =)

  We all know how much I like me a happy quilt, and this one is HAPPY.

Some quilts are harder than others to return to their owners.  This is one of them.

  The odd thing is it has butterflies all over it!  Creepy little things.  Ew, makes my skin crawl just thinking about them.  I was traumatized by butterflies once and I still haven't gotten over it, lol.  But I love this quilt =)  No worries Carrie, The fact that you have chickens redeems you from buying butterfly fabric.  

(Darn it all, it is cute fabric!!)
